Employee Spotlight: Ryan Tambroni

Impel’s Employee Spotlight Series highlights a member of our incredible team each month, giving you an authentic and behind-the-scenes look at our culture. The Impel team is comprised of musicians, foodies, avid animal lovers, athletes, and more – and their energy, grit, and curiosity are what make Impel successful. This month we’re introducing you Ryan Tambroni, a member of our Tech Support Team.

Tell us about your role at Impel.

I am a Technical Support Specialist. My primary responsibilities include handling incoming questions and concerns from our customers and resolving their issues.

Which core value resonates with you the most?

I think that Curiosity resonates with me the most. There is never-ending information in the tech world and being in a role that allows me to dive deeply into the technical side of things is something I am very passionate about.

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most? What is the most challenging part?

I love when a question comes in that I don’t know the answer to immediately. It’s definitely one of the aspects of my job that I love because it allows me to dig in and find out more about a product of the company.

On the flip side of the coin, an aspect that is challenging is being stumped on something for a little while. It can get discouraging, especially if it’s a time-sensitive issue that a customer is facing, but finally finding the answer always makes it worth it in the end.

What is one skill you would love to learn?

I would love to learn American Sign Language and Spanish. I took some intro classes in high school and college but would love to learn more about them so I could better communicate with whoever I cross paths with.

What was your dream job as a child?

I always wanted to be a psychologist, but my curiosity in tech really shined in my teen years.

You’re big into video games outside of work. What was your first gaming system and which game was your favorite? What do you play the most now?

My first video game system was a Sega Genesis and I loved Sonic the Hedgehog. Some of my earliest memories are with my Dad playing with Sonic, Mortal Kombat and Road Rash.

Currently, I am playing Call of Duty: Warzone, Old School Runescape and any other flavor of the month game my friends get me into. I’m really looking forward to Elden Ring coming out.

If you could be anyone for one week, who would it be and why?

I would love to be Sundar Picahi, the CEO of Google. After reading Genius Makers by Cade Metz, a book recommended by our CEO Devin Daly, I have been so interested in AI and how the world utilizes it. To have the ability to see under the hood and have a deeper understanding of what Google is developing next for AI would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Ryan’s a problem-solver who is always willing to aid customers and teammates. His steadfast passion for technology, helpfulness and friendly demeanor are just some of the things that make him a crucial member of the Impel team.
