Impel Employee Spotlight: Natia Khvichia

Team Impel comprises musicians, foodies, avid animal lovers, athletes, and more, and their passion, energy, and grit make Impel successful. Impel’s Employee Spotlight Series highlights one of our incredible teammates each month, giving you an authentic and behind-the-scenes look at our culture. This month we’re introducing you to Natia Khvichia, Executive Assistant to our team in Tbilisi, Georgia.

What is your role at Impel? What are a few of your core duties?

I am an Executive Assistant for the Georgian team and work mainly with the Human Resources, Accounting, and Management teams. My core duties include:

  • Organizing and managing team-building activities
  • Being a primary contact for events
  • Managing HR administration
  • Monitoring updates
  • Accounting tasks

Which Impel core value resonates with you the most and why?

Passion – I’m passionate about my job. I find meaning and purpose in my work.

Energy – It might be surprising, but I never feel tired after work. My team is always there to boost my energy throughout the day.

What about your role/teammates inspires you the most? Why?

During my first training at the company, someone told me that everyone at Impel is dedicated to their work — everyone was busy but always ready to help. This kind of dedication and readiness is what inspires me the most. It helps us to tackle every single challenge and rely on each other to succeed.

How do you define success?

One is successful when they are confident in their actions. My family and friends are always there to support me, which makes me more confident in achieving my goals. I think that whatever we do in this life means more when our friends are there to see it.

What is the best career lesson you have learned so far?

Learn as much as you can, but learn the things that matter. Sometimes we can absorb things that are actually irrelevant. I focus on learning things that are practical and will make the most difference in my life.

What are you currently reading or watching? Do you have any recommendations?

I recently watched Sandman. It had an interesting plot. I’m currently reading The Makioka Sisters by Junichiro Tanizaki. I’m really into Japanese culture and try to learn more from filmmakers and writers. Books are excellent tour guides to any country. They help you travel through different cultures, religions, lifestyles, and adventures. So, broaden your horizons and try a book by a foreign writer.

Tell us the three words your friends would use to describe you.

  • Caring
  • A bit hot-tempered
  • Joyful

What do you like to do on your days off?

I like to get far away from the city and take a nice trip to ease my mind and enjoy moments without any gadgets or things that might distract me. Apart from that, I like to spend time with family and friends in a cozy cafe, sharing news over a cup of coffee.

What topic could you give an hour-long presentation on with little preparation?

I love movies. Even though I’ve never studied filmmaking, I can share some knowledge about cinematography and some behind the scene facts about famous actors.

What is one thing you can’t live without, and why?

My loved ones — without them, everything is meaningless.

So many thanks to Natia for sharing how amazing she is with the world (we already knew).
