When Impel started a decade ago, about fifteen employees shared tight quarters in our space at The Tech Garden, Syracuse’s technology incubator. As our workforce grew over the years, so did our need for a comfortable workspace, which prompted a move into larger facilities at Warren Street’s Icon Tower. However, within a year we had already outgrown the available space! In 2019, we built out an additional 5,000 square feet to house our Finance, Product, IT, and HR functions, a company gathering area, additional conference rooms, and a recreational space.
Now, Impel is the latest business to be announced as an anchor tenant at downtown’s new City Center, a $40 million project near Syracuse’s Armory Square. We’re thrilled to join Huntington Ingalls Industries, CXtec Inc., and Hayner Hoyt in this newly renovated building. The new space includes 30,000 square feet of space for our team and some pretty great views of local landmarks. This news follows on the heels of our $104 million growth investment led by Silversmith Capital Partners in January, and we couldn’t be more excited about the year to come.
